CLIMBING FORMWORK
INTRODUCTION
Auto-Climbing system was developed for concrete high-rise construction in areas where high winds may disrupt work by preventing cranes from lifting and re-locating wall formwork.
The advancement of technology led to introduction of hydraulic machines into the climbing system, which can automatically erect themselves into higher levels with less use of external source (i.e., cranes).
This system in today’s world is known as Auto climbing system that uses oil cylinders and two commentators as their major component of auto climbing. It also consists of anchor shoe, climbing rail, main beam, platforms that helps in uplifting the whole entity of formwork with platforms.

1. Automatic climbing System with a load capacity of 8T (80KN) per climbing unit, is the ideal solution for many different types of assignment.
2. The formwork system can climb itself vertically to greater heights.
3. This system is independent i.e., slab pouring stage is not concerned with the core wall.
4. Once all components are assembled, it can be used up to the desired level of construction.
5. It can also enable very large concrete structures to be constructed in one single pour.
6. Less manpower is required with much space of working on platforms.
7. It acts as a whole entity with smooth, steady and synchronized in safe manner.
8. It has various platforms on different levels that can be used to erect reinforcement, finishing and speeding up the mechanism at the same time.
9. This system creates seamless structures with enhanced strength and visual appearance, as well as reducing construction times and material cost.
IMPROVEMENTS IN THIS SYSTEM
1. Perforated screens can move along the system without replacing them multiple times.
2. This system is flexible to construct shapes in single structure with the same speed of construction.
3. Openings in core wall can easily achieved without any disturbance.
4. Through the advancement in concrete technology, the core wall gets strengthened at a very high phase leading us to achieve the climbing at a very fast rate.
